Future Options For Havebury

Havebury provides services to tenants in its 5,700 homes and also maintains those homes. A new five year plan to improve and provide more services, build more homes and improve neighbourhoods has started.
Havebury wants to give the highest quality services to its tenants and can only do this by using the rents it collects carefully.
Havebury is already growing and could continue as it is, but it is also looking at other options for growth. This could help Havebury keep down its costs in the future so that more can be spent on current homes and neighbourhoods.
The options being considered include:
-
Havebury staying as it is
-
Havebury working in a different way
-
Closer joint working with existing partner associations, or
-
Merging with another larger housing association.
A letter has been sent to all tenants informing them about the work Havebury is doing and a copy of this letter is available for viewing or download using the thumbnail below.
(Click letter to view online or RIGHT mouse click to save to your computer)
Once more work has been done on the options, all tenants will be consulted and the Tenants’ Forum will also be fully involved.
Havebury have agreed to reply to any questions or comments posted on this web site regarding this work, so please make any comments or ask any questions by clicking this LINK.
Look out for more news. More information will be put on this site in the coming weeks.

Estate Walkabouts

A letter has recently been sent to all tenants & leaseholders advising them of the regular estate walkabouts that take place across the Havebury area. The purpose of this is to ensure the area around the homes are kept in the best possible condition and to suggest where improvements could be made.
A copy of the letter is reproduced below. |

The Tenants' Forum is your voice, working to represent you as tenants and leaseholders of Havebury. They are the 'eyes and ears' of Havebury in local neighbourhoods, helping to identify issues and provide feedback.
The Forum has a successful partnership with Havebury and that role includes helping to make better decisions about the way services are delivered. They are regularly consulted on a wide range of issues (not just housing) and are helping to improve services so they reflect the different needs of our local communities.
The Tenants' Forum consists of tenant and leaseholder volunteers. Out of this, five members are nominated to The Board of Directors of Havebury meaning real involvement and input on all decisions.
The Forum has been involved with a variety of areas and has recently updated its Tenant Involvement Policy statement and Action Plan. In addition, the Community Investment Focus Group is currently distributing a record number of grants and the Forum has played a lead role in this.
New members of all ages are welcome. If you are interested in joining the Tenant's Forum, or would like to contact a member of the Tenant's Forum in your area, please click here or use the 'Contact' menu available on the left of this page.
